Invest in your overall well-being through this 5 week course! Bring more calm and centering into your life.
Practicing mindfulness allows us to live more present to ourselves, to God, to the people around us, and to the world. It helps us to bring more kindness and compassion into our lives. And who couldn’t use more kindness and compassion? Taking time to center and be still allows us to become more aware of our experiences and choose our response to life instead of reacting automatically. Being present to ourselves and others is a gift!
We will experience mindfulness and centering prayer practices that help us become more aware of God’s presence with us and more aware of the peace that is available to us. There will be weekly assignments and discussions to help you bring mindfulness and peace into your daily life.

Come, rest and be still in the midst of the holiday season. We are living through unprecedented times and we are witnessing and experiencing division on many levels. We will take time away from the busyness of life to center and be present to ourselves and to God. Find a comfortable spot and join us. Bring what you need to be comfortable–a cup of tea or coffee, a shawl or blanket, a pillow or cushion, a yoga mat. Bring a journal or paper.
Your presence matters.
Your presence has meaning to the world around you. Practicing mindfulness allows us to live more present to ourselves, to God, to the people around us, and to the world. It helps us to bring more kindness and compassion into our lives.

Mindfulness, Stress Reduction, and Connecting with God
Saturday, September 26th, 2020
9:30AM to 4PM
Bon Secours Retreat and Conference Center
We spend a lot of our lives busily going from one task to the next. We often miss the present moment. The present moment is where we meet God. The present moment is also where we find the space to respond in healthier ways to our experiences instead of reacting automatically.
Mindfulness is paying attention to what is happening in the present moment, non-judgmentally, and with compassion. Paying attention to our experiences gives us valuable information we can use to live better. Living mindfully allows us to live more connected with God and to more effectively do what He created each of us specifically to do.
During our time together, you will be introduced to mindfulness practices for reducing stress and becoming more aware of God’s Presence.
